This movie is beautiful. Don't let the big age difference or potentially bad ending stop you watching this. It was so beautiful and sweet and I really felt something with this movie. The characters actually build real relationships, not the basic stories that older / younger women don't deserve. Probably one of my favorite Japanese movies right now, the stories aren't original or anything really, but they show real relationships and how people feel by getting old and lose the abilities you used to have. The director of this film is amazing, there are many scenes with the sun shining beautifully on the set and the actors. There's also a big moment of symbolism the director does with dark rooms versus light. It is carefully done with a deep feeling. I very much hope you decide to watch this.
